1. Why prune my trees?
Pruning of tree limbs on a regularly scheduled basis will improve tree health, control growth, and enhance fruiting, flowering, and appearance.

2. Elevation vs topping?
Topping does not limit tree growth, but may destroy the integrity of the tree giving many entry points for wood decaying organisms, creating liabilities you will be responsible for. An elevation is a bit more time consuming but will lighten the load of the tree, allowing wind and rain to pass through the tree without making it so heavy.

3. When is the best time to trim my trees?
Anytime is the best time for tree maintenance, with the exception of blossoming and fruit bearing trees. Wait until this season passes and then trim or cut.

4. What to do about spanish moss?
Moss is an air plant native to Florida and will not hurt a healthy tree. Moss can be handpicked out or sprayed out. Removing too much moss could do more harm to your tree than good. If you truly love your trees...maintain them.
